Join Alcon Industries and its team April 9-11 at Heat Treat Mexico 2024 in Queretaro, where heat treating manufacturers from throughout North America will gather for three days of education, innovation and networking.

Alcon staff will be on hand at the company’s booth display in the exhibitor space, ready to answer questions and provide expertise in the heat treat process or anything else you want to discuss.

Sessions at Heat Treat Mexico 2024 focus on industrial heat treating within aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and tooling. Learn about the latest techniques and technology in industrial heat treating, including automation advances, quality control and energy efficiency.

Stay on top of emerging trends and discuss the future of heat treating with the men and women who work in the industry every day.

Heat Treat Mexico also works to attract young professionals looking to graduate with a degree related to the industry, making it a great place to recruit. A student competition April 8 brings young minds together to promote themselves and their ideas.

The event is hosted by ASM International, the world’s largest association of engineers, scientists, technicians and educators who work in materials. ASM works as an information hub between the industry, academia and the government through published content, conference, education and local engagement. Heat Treat Mexico is its premier annual gathering.

  • Tuesday, April 9: 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 10: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 11: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event also includes a welcome reception. Lunches, a closing fiesta and other social events.

Alcon Welcomes New President, Gary Wilson!

Alcon Industries recently named GARY LAMONT WILSON JR. as its president, overseeing its staff of 130 employees and operations at the Cleveland, Ohio, facility.

Wilson brings more than two decades of experience in finance, manufacturing and operations. He previously served as vice president of TT Electronics and regional vice president of Vesuvius, both in Cleveland. Before that, his leadership roles included positions at SIFCO Industries, Precision Castparts and GE Power.

Alcon has been a national leader for 40 years in the production of heat and corrosion resistant alloy castings and fabrications. Its products are utilized worldwide in a wide variety of automotive and industrial manufacturing, including by Ford, General Motors, Honda, Toyota, John Deere, CAT, Eaton, Timken and TRW.

Wilson is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a field artillery officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina then as a transportation officer in Germany.
